Merry Christmas Everyone | What I got for Christmas

I can't believe it's already been Christmas, I can still remember christmas last year it's crazy! This year however I have been so so spoilt and I am so grateful for all the lovely things my friends and family have bought me I didn't expect any of it, I love them all to pieces and am so lucky for each and every person in my life.

I wanted to share some of my favourite presents this year, I also got money and vouchers and lots of little bits and bobs but I thought I'd show you a few of my favourite things *starts singing sound of music*

Perfume 

If you know me, smelling good is important and I got bought lots of lovely perfume this year such as Prada 'candy' which I have been lusting over for ages, and my lovely boyfriend surprised me with it. His parents also bought me my favourite perfume Marc Jacobs 'Dot' which they knew I had run out of so now I am so happy I have a new bottle, and just look at that beautiful packaging!

 

 

Candles 

I couldn't believe it when my boyfriend handed me a Jo Malone bag, anything from Jo Malone is a luxury in itself! I opened the beautifully presented bag to see an even more beautifully packaged box and I opened it to find the most gorgeous candle in the scent 'lavender and lovage' it smelt so fresh and calming I can't wait to burn it!

 Bath and body 

I got the cutest box of bath bombs and soaps from my boyfriends nan, I've never heard of the company before but they remind me so much of lush, 'bomb cosmetics' they're called and you get a selection of Christmas themed bath goodies mostly smelling of cinnamon which is a winner for me. This gift box is called the 'Santa baby' gift box, I can't wait to be having lots of baths with these!

 It's no christmas without soap & glory goodies and my best friend did well with choosing which ones! She got me this beautiful wash bag set, full with miniatures of some of my favourite soap and glory products, a favourite being the 'clean on me shower gel' which I use everyday, it's nice to have a mini version of everything too because I can take them when travelling which makes life a hell of a lot easier.

 

Clothing goodies 

Clothes are literally the best thing anyone could buy me, I love clothes so much so I was definitely lucky to recieve some beautiful pieces. I had been eyeing this topshop leather jacket up for months, and my boyfriend then got me it for Christmas, I just love the contrasting textures with the faux fur collar and the leather.

 

I got a few other lovely clothing pieces my mum chose well in this department. I am going to share with you some of my favourite pieces.

Firstly is a halter neck top that I have wanted for so long but never actually bought it, it's from motel rocks and I love anything with a moon or star print on.

I also got this lovely shirt with a beautiful lace embellishment it's very sheer though so I'm definitely going to have to wear a vest or pretty bralette underneath.

My mum bought me the most amazing boots I have seen in a while, I was eyeing these up on the public desire website about a month or so, although these aren't the public desire ones, these are from Arc they're identical and I love them so much, they're a more masculine take on Chelsea boots and really give off doc Martin vibes, so up my street!

 

Make up 

Make up is another thing which makes me extremely happy! My boyfriend treated me to a mac concealer and foundation which he actually gave me as an early christmas present so I have been using them for the last couple of weeks and I have been loving them.

 

I have wanted something from Pandora for so long, I've never been a fan of the rings, for the price they don't look that good quality, however, I am a fan of the bracelets so I got this lovely black rope inspired strap with the cutest charm saying 'family' and on the other side 'love'. I think a Pandora charm bracelet is something so nice to own because it gives an opportunity for gifts in the future because people can just buy you charms.

Review | Urban Decay Naked Dupe

As people may know, I have a little obsession with make up, however I'm all for finding affordable dupes for higher end make up products and I feel with this I have found an amazing dupe. This is the W7 eye colour palette, in the buff. It contains 12 nude toned shades which I feel can be worn on a day to day basis but also dressed up with a going out look too, it's such a versatile palette and you'll never guess how much I paid for this palette...a whopping great five pounds, that's the beauty of it. It'll be great for people, younger people especially who are just starting out with make up and maybe can't afford higher end make up such as the urban decay palette. I love finding dupes of expensive brands because it helps out the people just starting out with make up. 

 

My favourite shades in the palette our: chocolate, earth and silk. The colours are a mixture of matte and shimmery, the matte ones are: buff, chocolate and onyx with all the rest being shimmer shades, this is such a versatile multi-purpose palette with such pigmented shades which are very easy to blend. The palette also comes with a double ended brush however I tend to use my own eye brushes.

Lacking Slacking

I have been lacking on blog posts and you tube videos...but I can explain, my laptop broke AGAIN, I really need to get a new laptop but also I am in the middle of a move so everything is so stressful at the moment and a lot of things are packed up so it's harder to film but I am going to try and get into the swing of things and I have made a little schedule so here goes in terms of you tube videos. 

I am going to try and post three videos a week with regular ones like "top 10 tuesday" where I just talk about 10 things which will be different each week and then "face friday" which will be a make up look I want them to be celebrity inspired make up looks BUT a lot of my make up and pallets are packed away in boxes so for now it's going to be just regular everyday looks and then im going to try and film a fashion based video a week to!

Family Wedding | Las Vegas Themed

I  do love a good old family wedding, it's a chance to see all the family again (and not to mention a cracking buffet) my auntie got married in Las Vegas which I think its the most cool thing ever however this meant none of the family actually got to see the wedding so she decided to have a Las Vegas themed wedding party which was amazing.

Monthly Lusts | July 2014

Hiya guys, so obviously I spend way too much time scrawling through tumblr, polyvore and many other fashion themed apps and I fall in love with many many things each month so I've decided to write a post each month about things I've been lusting over so here goes: 

♥ MILLY Crossbody - Miley Hologram Camera ♥

THIS BAG OMG, I love this bag so much and I just cannot stop staring at it, it's the perfect sized and shaped bag for me and I love the holographic print on it, it reminds me of a mermaid. I think this would look amazing with an all black out fit because it'll add such a pop of colour, I want it in my life so bad, shame about the £198 price tag. That's the only thing stopping me from buying this baby! If anyone finds me a dupe for this I would honestly bow down to you.

♥ Zoeva Rose Gold Make Up Brush Set ♥

 I need some new makeup brushes because I'm bored of using the same Real Techniques ones all the time. I've heard a lot about the zoeva brushes from various bloggers so I had a gander (ew I hate that word) on their website and I particularly liked these ones because of the beautiful rose gold detailing they would look lovely on display on my dressing table! 

♥ Dr Martens 1461 ♥

I can't choose whether I like the Patent ones or the matte ones, I think Dr Martens are such a staple pair of shoes and look so classic and vintage. I didn't think they'd suit me because I have such skinny ankles I thought they'd look so chunky like clown feet so I tried some on at work (I work in Schuh which is a shoe shop) and they suprisingly looked alright and everyone said they suited me so I might have to have a cheeky use of my staff discount card on them because I think they'd be perfect for winter! 

♥ Check Cardigan - Urban Outfitters ♥

I'm already looking for clothes for winter because dressing for winter is my absolute favorite, I find it so easy to dress in the winter than summer because you can just chuck on a comfy jumper and you're good to go. I saw this cardigan on the urban outfitters website and it's so me I fell in love instantly. It's monochrome so my favorite colours to wear and it looks super comfy so I think I might have to treat myself to this very soon *oopsy*

REVIEW | Le Volume De Chanel Mascara

Hi guys, firstly a massive massive apology for not posting in like decades my laptop decided to give up on me completely so now I have to use whatever laptops around the house I can get my hands on. Apart from all the apologies I have a review for you today guys which is of one of my first high end mascaras! 

I picked up the Chanel Le Volume De Chanel mascara from the airport in Malta, at first I was skeptical about the price because as I said this was my first kind of designer make up product and I was telling myself "no izzy your rimmel glam eyes day to night mascara works just as well " but knowing me, I like a good splurge and I had some euros left so I thought why not, you only live once. 

I love it, my other drugstore mascara's work just as well but there's just something about this mascara that's different (and not just the classy packaging) okay I was drawn in a little by the BEAUTIFUL packaging, a sleek black tube with the Chanel sign, but the product is pretty good itself.
 It just seems to work wonders for my lashes. It's specifically a volumising mascara and I really feel because of the length and shape of the brush this statement is true. I have very short lashes so the brush of this mascara works with them very well because it has lots of tiny little brisles which pick up every lash and the formula which is number 10 'noir' is such a true black colour. I find that other mascaras namely drugstore ones, throughout the day they come of and turn a grey colour or some just come of completely however this one stays on all day and is really black which is what a lot of my other drug store mascaras lack, the staying power.

I picked it up for 28 euros in Malta airport and back in the UK I think it costs around £25, I'm not good with exchange rates so whether I saved money or splurged who knows but I love it none the less and is a revolutionary make up product in my make up bag. 

If any one knows any good dupes of this mascara please please pretty please let me know as it's not something I want to splurge on too often that would be much appreciated.

Lily Collins Inspired Make Up | Natural Smoky Eye

If you know me you'll know my everlasting love for Lily Collins is huge, I think she's the most beautiful woman on the planet. Obviously I'm influenced by her make up because she always looks flawless and stunning, I think it's the eyebrows that do it for her because her eyebrow game is on point as long as she's got her eyebrows there's nothing stopping her. 

So I had a look on tumblr at some pictures of her (which I find myself doing every night and crying myself to sleep because I don't have her face) and wanted to recreate some of her make up looks. 

Obviously I know I look nothing like Lily because I don't AT ALL but I love her flawless make up she has all the time so wanted to do an inspired look from pictures of her. 

I hope you enjoy it. 

Just Look at her, her beauty is definetly the work of witchcraft, her make up is so simple and flawless all the time. She doesn't need a lot of make up because her eyebrows definitely make her face.

I tried to keep my face as flawless as possible and have a light smoky eye because Lily's eye make up is never that bold it's always pretty and light.
