My favourite candle | Jo Malone

I absolutely love candles, I find them relaxing and I love to light them when I'm just chilling in bed after having a lovely bath. I have wanted to try a Jo Malone candle for so long but couldn't justify the £40 for the candle.
As a gift my boyfriend bought me a Jo Malone candle in the fragrance 'lavender and lovage' at first I was sceptical because I'm not a fan of lavender however the lovage really helps to make it such a pleasant scent. It also has hints of Rosemary and thyme, this isn't a scent I'd usually go for as I'm much more of a vanilla or sweet scent type of person however I'm glad I was bought a scent that I wouldn't usually buy as it gives me a chance to try different scents than I'm use to. To me, it's got quite a manly scent it's not a feminine scent like I'm used to, I find it very relaxing and therapeutic and you can definitely smell that it's an expensive candle because the scent is so strong and travels round the whole house. I can burn the candle for around 20 minutes and the smell will linger for ages.
Not only is the scent amazing but the packaging, it looks so classy and I love that, once I'm done with the candle I'm going to use the jar as a make up brush holder because it's a good use of recycling and I think it'll look pretty on my dressing table. Such a lovely spring candle.
What other Jo Malone scents would you recommend ?

Hello to my blog...again | New Me

Hello, hi I'm izzy. If you already follow my blog you'll know that however I want to start a fresh, start from the bottom again because I'm in but of a rut. I was reading back through some of my old blog posts and I literally felt myself go read I was so embarrassed. I started a blog with the intention of writing about things I was passionate about and loved talking about, essentially I do do that I just feel I don't put a lot of passion into my posts that I intended too.
Fashion was my main interest at first and I would say still is and I wanted y blog to be solely fashion based however over the year I got into beauty a lot more and lifestyle I love interiors and homeware and taking pictures of rooms in the house that just look real pretty and I want to blog about that because it's something that I'm passionate about I just feel my posts aren't 100% and don't show enough of me and that's what I want because I absolutely flipping love writing blog posts, who doesn't love a good natter about things they love so here I am introducing myself again and starting fresh on this blog with things I really want to talk about.
I'm izzy, born Isabel but let's not call me that because I don't particularly like that. I'm 20 years of age and in September I am going to uni to study acting. I don't particularly like long walks on the beach because they make my little legs ache.
I hope to write many more posts in the future.

Blush Palette Review | Revolution

I was hearing a lot about the range of make up called 'Revolution' accept I couldn't find it anywhere, I'd heard their palettes were pretty good and decent dupes for more higher end palettes like the Naked palettes. Then the other day when I was browsing my local Super drug I came across the revolution stand and firstly I noticed how bloody cheap it was and how nice the palettes were!
I didn't really need any more palettes though as I've got a few that I already love to use, however blushes on the other hand are something I don't really have a lot of so I had a look at the blush palettes and I fell in love with this one called the 'Hot Spice' palette, I loved every single blush shade in there, especially the two blushes at the end which I knew just by looking at them I was going to use as highlights, they really reminded me of the Mac mineralise blushes.

The first top left blush I have been using every day as my highlight and I absolutely love it, it gives a really shimmery highlight which is quite silvery and I think it looks beautiful on the skin, the pigmentation of these blushes is really good too, sometimes the colours, especially on the darker shades can come out too bright but once blended they look really natural and beautiful.

Because of the darker shades in this palette it's perfect for contouring too and you have the beautiful highlighting shades, so not only is it a blush palette but also can be a contouring and highlighting palette too. The blushes are very long lasting too, I may have to pick up some more palettes from this range.

Let me know if you've used any other products in this range too!

Film Review | Mortdecai

I haven't been to the cinema in a blooming long time so me and my boyfriend thought we'd see what was on. We decided to go and watch Mortdecai which he decided to choose, I'd never heard it or seen it advertised. Before I went to watch it I read some reviews and I'm not going to lie it had some pretty poor reviews basically saying you can tell it's coming to the end of Johnny Depps career, nonetheless we still went to see it because I quite like Johnny Depp as an actor.
It wasn't the best film I've seen nor was it the worst, I actually did laugh at quite a few bits and it had an array of other amazing actors such as; Ewan Mcgreggor and Gwyneth Paltrow. My favourite character was the character of Joc who was Johnny Depps body guard essentially. So yeah, despite the poor reviews it actually got a few laughs from me, it's very easy and light to watch. You can tell it is coming to an end for Johnny depp though, I only really like him in his more iconic roles. I think he's absolutely brilliant as Jack Sparrow and one of his strongest roles has to be Sweeney Todd, how can you argue with me on that one!
The overall story line is that Johnny Depp plays this art dealer Mortdecai and his wife is played by Gwyneth Paltrow and long story short they're along with Ewan Mcgreggor who works for mi5 are looking for a stolen painting which is worth millions, that's all I'm going to say for now as I don't want to give the story away if you still want to go and see it, it is worth a watch if you've got nothing to do and you fancy going to see something easy to watch at the cinema.
I hope you liked this post as its a bit different but I want to include a bit of everything about my life in my blog!

Interiors | Traditional

Interior design has always been a passion of mine and if I wasn't so passionate about acting I probably would have gone down the interior design route! I just think the presentation of your home really tells you something about that person and it really inspires me! Here are a few pictures I have taken recently.
I like how traditional the interior is and there's not really a lot of modern inspired things in the lounge it's all very classic and traditional. However I do like mixing modern and vintage pieces together.

I hope you like this style of post it's a little different than my usual beauty and fashion posts but it's still something I am very passionate about!

Love ya,

Zara | Perfumes

Perfume is deffinetly one of my guilty pleasures, with some of my perfumes being Prada Candy and Marc Jacobs 'Dot' however, I do like to have a look at some of the cheaper perfumes that clothing stores are now making.
I'm not fussed over the river island ones really, I feel they're a little tacky, however the zara ones have really impressed me! For one, the packaging is so simple and classy and look amazing next to my other perfumes and two, they smell so good and last for a long time. The two I have are Femme and Apple Juice, my favourite of the two being apple juice.

The femme one is very fresh and grown up, the notes are; bergamot, vanilla, sandalwood, caramel and musk. It's a very oriental smelling perfume which I love about it and the fact it stays on longer than some of my more expensive perfumes!

The apple juice scented one is my favourite because I tend to stray towards the more fruity, sweet perfumes! This one has notes of; apple, orange, jasmine and peony, they just compliment each other so well and I always get compliments when wearing both of these perfumes.

It is nice to check out the cheaper perfumes because they make a nice handbag perfume because I don't want to be spraying my designer perfumes all the time however with these I don't feel too guilty spraying myself every couple of hours with them because they're only £9.99 each! So its not like you're breaking the bank if you need to repurchase every couple of months!
I hope you enjoyed this post, let me know if you've tried any of the other zara perfumes I'm interested to know how they smell!

Merry Christmas Everyone | What I got for Christmas

I can't believe it's already been Christmas, I can still remember christmas last year it's crazy! This year however I have been so so spoilt and I am so grateful for all the lovely things my friends and family have bought me I didn't expect any of it, I love them all to pieces and am so lucky for each and every person in my life.
I wanted to share some of my favourite presents this year, I also got money and vouchers and lots of little bits and bobs but I thought I'd show you a few of my favourite things *starts singing sound of music*
Perfume
If you know me, smelling good is important and I got bought lots of lovely perfume this year such as Prada 'candy' which I have been lusting over for ages, and my lovely boyfriend surprised me with it. His parents also bought me my favourite perfume Marc Jacobs 'Dot' which they knew I had run out of so now I am so happy I have a new bottle, and just look at that beautiful packaging!

Candles
I couldn't believe it when my boyfriend handed me a Jo Malone bag, anything from Jo Malone is a luxury in itself! I opened the beautifully presented bag to see an even more beautifully packaged box and I opened it to find the most gorgeous candle in the scent 'lavender and lovage' it smelt so fresh and calming I can't wait to burn it!
 Bath and body
I got the cutest box of bath bombs and soaps from my boyfriends nan, I've never heard of the company before but they remind me so much of lush, 'bomb cosmetics' they're called and you get a selection of Christmas themed bath goodies mostly smelling of cinnamon which is a winner for me. This gift box is called the 'Santa baby' gift box, I can't wait to be having lots of baths with these!
It's no christmas without soap & glory goodies and my best friend did well with choosing which ones! She got me this beautiful wash bag set, full with miniatures of some of my favourite soap and glory products, a favourite being the 'clean on me shower gel' which I use everyday, it's nice to have a mini version of everything too because I can take them when travelling which makes life a hell of a lot easier.

Clothing goodies
Clothes are literally the best thing anyone could buy me, I love clothes so much so I was definitely lucky to recieve some beautiful pieces. I had been eyeing this topshop leather jacket up for months, and my boyfriend then got me it for Christmas, I just love the contrasting textures with the faux fur collar and the leather.

I got a few other lovely clothing pieces my mum chose well in this department. I am going to share with you some of my favourite pieces.
Firstly is a halter neck top that I have wanted for so long but never actually bought it, it's from motel rocks and I love anything with a moon or star print on.

I also got this lovely shirt with a beautiful lace embellishment it's very sheer though so I'm definitely going to have to wear a vest or pretty bralette underneath.
My mum bought me the most amazing boots I have seen in a while, I was eyeing these up on the public desire website about a month or so, although these aren't the public desire ones, these are from Arc they're identical and I love them so much, they're a more masculine take on Chelsea boots and really give off doc Martin vibes, so up my street!

Make up
Make up is another thing which makes me extremely happy! My boyfriend treated me to a mac concealer and foundation which he actually gave me as an early christmas present so I have been using them for the last couple of weeks and I have been loving them.

I have wanted something from Pandora for so long, I've never been a fan of the rings, for the price they don't look that good quality, however, I am a fan of the bracelets so I got this lovely black rope inspired strap with the cutest charm saying 'family' and on the other side 'love'. I think a Pandora charm bracelet is something so nice to own because it gives an opportunity for gifts in the future because people can just buy you charms.

I hope everyone had an amazing Christmas and got to spend it with all your loved ones, I am very grateful for everything I received I love absolutely everything! Bring on the new year!
